Historical CN novels are rather rare here in the English scene still. This novel was #1 on qidian at one point even higher than all the xianxia/xuan huan. It could be considered the defining modern webnovel for this historical harem genre.
Think “I’m really a superstar” but in Ancient China setting. It was definitely revolutionary at its time and its still one of the best written ones even now with all the clones of this genre.

I see that Awakening only has 316 chapters, so it shouldn’t be too long. I like Awakening too, so I don’t mind finishing this story before reading Finest Servant.
